William Bynum
Bynum did an amazing job presenting many different fields of sciences and how they brought us to where we are now. The book focuses on the history of science and the big advancements discovered throughout the years. Applying this to a more complex level, Bynum shows how dynamic science truly is. We will never know everything but our thirst to know is what fuels the fire of science. Each field of science adds on top of each other allowing for more complex discoveries to me created. Science is such a broad topic it could be explained in so many ways. The best way to explain it is by giving examples and history, and that is what Bynum does. “We need good scientists, but we also need good citizens who will ensure that our science will make the world a better place for us all to live in," (352). William Bynum concludes the book with a hint of inspiration for us humans to do better. Science only works if we push it and that's what we need to do. He truly believes there is so much more to discover if we dip our toes just a little deeper.
